P1110
Intake air temperature sensor circuit
malfunction - dynamic chamber
Detection Conditions
- Intake air temperature (dynamic chamber) sensor
signal is below
0.1V or above 4.9V while the intake air temperature (air cleaner)
sensor reads above -10 degrees C.
- Intake air temperature (dynamic chamber) is higher
than engine coolant temperature by 40 degrees C, engine coolant
temperature is above 70 degrees C, and ignition key is ON.
Diagnostic Support Notes
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM)
- Check engine indicator illuminates if the ECU detects
the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle
- PENDING CODE is not available
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is available
- DTC is stored in ECU memory
Possible Causes
- Intake air temperature sensor (dynamic chamber)
malfunction
- Poor connection at intake air temperature sensor (dynamic chamber)
or ECU connector
- Short to ground circuit between intake air
temperature sensor
(dynamic chamber) terminal A and ECU
- Intake air temperature signal (dynamic chamber) and
intake air temperature ground
circuit are shorted
- Open circuit between intake air temperature sensor (dynamic chamber)
terminal A and ECU
- Short to power circuit between intake air
temperature sensor
(dynamic chamber) terminal A and ECU
- Open circuit between intake air temperature sensor (dynamic chamber)
terminal B and ECU
- Short to power circuit between intake air
temperature sensor
(dynamic chamber) terminal B and ECU
- ECU malfunction
