P1113
Intake air temperature sensor circuit
malfunction - Lysholm compressor
[KJ]
Detection Conditions
- If the voltage from the intake air temperature
sensor on the Lysholm compressor is above 4.9V and the intake air temperature
sensor on the air box reads above 0 degrees C.
- If terminal A on the intake air temperature
sensor on the Lysholm
compressor reads higher
than terminal B by 3.48V while the engine coolant temperature sensor reads
above 80 degrees C, the intake air temperature on the air box reads
above -10 degrees C, and the ignition key is ON.
- ECU reduces charged-air pressure but the intake air
temperature sensor on the Lysholm compressor does not indicate a drop to 150 degrees C or below.
Diagnostic Support Notes
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM)
- Check engine indicator illuminates if the ECU detects
the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle
- PENDING CODE is not available
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is available
- DTC is stored in ECU memory
Possible Causes
- Intake air temperature sensor (Lysholm compressor)
malfunction
- Poor connection at intake air temperature sensor (Lysholm compressor)
or ECU connector
- Short to ground circuit between intake air
temperature sensor
(Lysholm compressor) terminal A and ECU
- Intake air temperature signal (Lysholm compressor) and
intake air temperature ground
(Lysholm compressor) circuit are shorted
- Open circuit between intake air temperature sensor (Lysholm
compressor)
terminal A and ECU
- Short to power circuit between intake air
temperature sensor
(Lysholm compressor) terminal A and ECU
- Open circuit between intake air temperature sensor (Lysholm
compressor)
terminal B and ECU
- Short to power circuit between intake air
temperature sensor
(Lysholm compressor) terminal B and ECU
- DTC P1540 detection
- ECU malfunction
