Lysholm air bypass valve (ABV) vent control solenoid system malfunction

Detection Conditions

• The input from the ABV vent control solenoid is above 11.5V while the solenoid is ON or below 5.8V while OFF if the operating time of the solenoid is 0 ms or 50ms.

Diagnostic Support Notes

• This is a diagnostic support DTC (monitored once per key cycle)
• Check engine indicator does not illuminate
• PENDING CODE is not available
• FREEZE FRAME DATA is available
• DTC is not stored in ECU memory

Possible Causes

• ABV vent control solenoid malfunction
• Connector or terminal malfunction
• Short to ground in wiring between ABV vent control solenoid terminal B and ECU
• Open circuit in wiring between main relay terminal D and ABV vent control solenoid terminal A
• Open circuit in wiring between ABV vent control solenoid terminal B and ECU
• ECU malfunction
