Symptom #6 - Cranks normally but will not start

Description

• Starter cranks engine at normal speed but engine will not run
• Refer to Engine stalls - after start / at idle if this symptom appears after engine stall
• Fuel is in tank
• Battery is in normal condition

Possible Causes

• Air leakage from intake-air system parts
• Improper operation of idle-air control valve
• No signal from crankshaft position sensor due to sensor, related wire, or wrong installation
• No signal from camshaft position sensor due to sensor, related wire, or wrong installation
• Spark leakage from ignition coil
• PCV valve malfunction
• Restriction in exhaust system
• Open or short circuit in fuel pump and related harness
• Fuel pump mechanical malfunction
• Injector is clogged
• No battery power supply to ECU
• Open ECU ground or vehicle body ground
• EGR valve malfunction
• Low engine compression
• Vacuum leakage
• Poor fuel quality
• Air cleaner restriction
• Electrical connector disconnection
• Improper fuel pressure
• Fuel leakage from injector
• Purge solenoid valve malfunction
